I've never really understood what it is about a person that leads others to call them beautiful. Although when I think about the way a person looks is what initially comes to mind. I have seen some people calling an unattractive person beautiful. But I don't think that they were calling the unattractive beautiful because it was true. In my opinion they were a little self righteous, I don't think that they would actually become friends with the unattractive.
I've concluded that most people are treated differently if they're considered desirable in that period of time. In the 21st century there is so much diversity which makes me wonder if there could still be ideal beauty, a person so beautiful that they are desirable wherever they go. Could an attractive person with the most unpleasant attitude still be sought after? Depending on their gender, maybe.
Beauty standards undeniably change from place to place, so will the ideal beauty in Asia be the same as that North America? And are certain races characterized as undesirable? Unfortunately I do not know the exact answer. I often wonder, what is it like to know that you are beautiful? And vise versa. Are fatter people deemed unattractive? I always have so many questions about so many things, I still have so much to ask. But the answer to every one of them may be this timeless quote "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
